Brilliant white teeth are parts of todays beauty ideal. Though with increasing age the teeth naturally become darker as well as being exposed to tea, coffee, cigarettes or red wine, which also lead to discolouring of the teeth. But this does not have to be the case!
This is why we offer the patients in our practice “Zoom”, which is a scientifically approved method to lighten teeth.
White and beautiful, easy and gentle: in a mere 60-90 minute sitting in our practice, a bleaching gel is applied onto the complet row of teeth, which is then activated with the help of a specially designed light. The gel’s main component is hydrogen peroxide. Through the reaction of the hydrogen peroxide, oxigen enters into the dental enamel and dentine and whitens the existing, discoloured substances, whilst not affecting the rest of the toothstructure. A study has shown, that the teeth can become 8-9 shades lighter, after having the “Zoom” treatment done. However, before you have the treatment carried out, a specifically trained member of staff, will discuss your own wishes and explain to you, what result you personally can expect from this treatment. Before having the procedure done, it is very important, that all the dental fillings in the bleaching area are checked.
By carrying out the correct dental hygiene, going to a regular dental prophylaxis and a normal consumption of staining foods and drinks, the results of a “Zoom”-treatment can be preserved for 2-3 years.
